How to get your Mobile number Ported(MNP) in du?

Mobile Number Portability (MNP)  is a service that allows a cellphone or smartphone customer to change telecom carrier and keep the same phone number. du allows customers to change their carrier network from Etisalat to du and vice-versa. This can be done through a simple process, by applying for MNP with your du account manager. 

Before we begin, it is important to understand that a Business customer can only port his number to Business services of another carrier network.

Consumer request for moving to another network in Business services or vice-versa is not applicable. This would require initially moving from Consumer to Business and then request for portability of the network.

Here’s how Business customers can apply for Mobile Number Portability-

1. Submit the following forms to the respective network account manager of the network in which you want to move.
   1. Service order Form for the particular plan selected.
   2. Main Application Form C
   3. MNP porting form
2. Along with the above forms, the applicant must attach the following documents as identity proof. These Documents must hold the signature and stamp of the applicant and Business respectively.
   1. Trade License copy
   2. Establishment Card copy
   3. Emirates ID of the Trade License Holder
   4. Passport and Visa copy of Trade License Holder
   5. ejari or Tenancy Contract

The account manager then processes the order and a du agent visits the customer to collect a hard copy of all the document. Once the documents are submitted in du, the admin team verifies them.

Post verification of documents, a new sim card is delivered to the customer at the registered address within two business days. The sim then activates in another 24 hours.
